1. Introduction
Save a Plate (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a platform that connects users (“customers”) with restaurants, supermarkets, and food vendors (“partners”) to purchase surplus food at discounted prices.
2. User Eligibility & Account Registration
• To use Save a Plate, you must be at least 18 years old or have legal parental/guardian consent.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3. How the Service Works
• Partners list surplus food items on the platform at discounted prices.
• Customers purchase these meals without the ability to choose specific items unless otherwise specified by the vendor.
• Orders may be available for pickup or delivery, depending on the vendor’s settings.
4. Payments & Pricing
• All transactions are processed through secure payment methods integrated within the platform.
• Prices and availability are subject to change based on vendor discretion.
• Payments are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
• Orders cannot be canceled once confirmed unless the vendor is unable to fulfill the order.
• Refunds are only issued in cases where an order is not available or was not provided as described.
• For any refund requests, please contact refund@saveaplate.ae within 24 hours of order pickup or delivery.
6. Partner Responsibilities
• Partners must ensure food safety and comply with local health and safety regulations.
• All food offered on the platform must be safe for consumption at the time of pickup or delivery.
7. User Conduct
• You agree to use the platform responsibly and respectfully towards vendors and staff.
• Any misuse, fraudulent activity, or violation of these Terms may result in account suspension or termination.
8. Liability & Disclaimer
• Save a Plate is a marketplace platform and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or handling of food provided by partners.
• We are not liable for any illness, allergic reactions, or other consequences resulting from food purchased through our platform.
• Our liability is limited to the amount paid for an order, where applicable.
9. Privacy Policy
• Your personal data is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• We do not share or sell your information without your consent, except as required by law.
10. Termination & Suspension
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activities.
• You may deactivate your account at any time by contacting info@saveaplate.ae.
11. Changes to Terms
• We may update these Terms from time to time.
• Continued use of Save a Plate after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
• These Terms are governed by the laws of United Arab Emirates.
• Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration or courts located in Dubai (UAE).
